In conformity with the university objective to develop students' leadership skills, meet their needs, and solve their problems, the deanship establishes the student advisory board at the beginning of each academic year which is regarded as a link between the Deanship of Preparatory Year and the students. The student advisory board contributes to selecting the activity types suitable for the students' desires and interests and participating with the deanship to make decisions related to the students' educational interests. The meetings are held periodically by the student advisory board. The recommendations are submitted to the dean of the Preparatory Year to decide what should be done to solve the students' problems and achieve their requirements and interests. The student advisory board has the honor to run the open meetings among the dean of the Preparatory Year, vice deans, heads of departments, units in the deanship, and students.
