Instructions for the new student
The new student must follow these instructions:
- Printing the academic schedule from the student's academic portal via this link: http://eserve.psau.edu.sa
- Beginning of study from the first week, Sunday, 02/01/1441 AH, for students admitted in the first semester, and for those admitted in the second semester, beginning of the study from the first week, Sunday, 05/25/1441 AH.
- Attending the study schedule according to the schedule for each student.
- Print the student’s admission notice from the academic portal, as it presents the university card until the date of delivery of the university cards is announced, according to the announcements issued by the student’s affairs at the student’s college.
- Commitment to the induction day at the beginning of the academic year, as each college has a specific day in which students can discover the study building, the location of classrooms, and the study system.
- Updating the academic schedule (to print the schedule at the beginning of each week to ensure that the schedule is not changed electronically) for a month from the beginning of the term.
- Each student must ensure that the academic load is fully lowered for him by printing his study plan from the site and comparing it with the schedule and making sure that he is going according to the plan for his specialization, and that all subjects at the first level are registered and studied by him.
- Receiving your copy of the student’s academic guide from the student affairs deanship to find out the regulations and rules for studying at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University.
- See the academic calendar for the academic year to know the periods of academic movements and the beginning and end of the exams.
- The mechanisms for the specialization of male and female students after completing the preparatory year requirements are as follows:
First: The preparatory year for health colleges in Al-Kharj
(50%) of the GPA in the preparatory year + 30% of the student’s composite rate + 10% of the student’s degree in the organic chemistry course CHEM 106 + 10% of the student’s score in the general biology course BIO 106.
"In addition, the student must pass the personal interview and taking the English proficiency test “STEP” with not less than 70 mark for the College of Medicine, and 65 for the College of Dentistry for male students only."
Second: The preparatory year for engineering and scientific colleges in Al-Kharj
(%50) of the GPA in the preparatory year + 30% of the student’s composite ratio + 10% of the student’s score in the General Physics course PHYS 1010 + 5% of the student’s score in the differential calculus course Math 1050 + 5% of the student’s score in the integration calculation course MATH 1060.
Third: The Engineering Preparatory Year in Wadi Al-Dawasir
(%50) of the GPA in the preparatory year + 30% of the student’s composite ratio + 10% of the student’s score in the General Physics course PHYS 1010 + 5% of the student’s score in the differential calculus course is MATH 1050 + 5% of the student’s score in the integration calculation course is MATH 1060.
"In addition, students that achieve the preparatory year with a GPA of less than 3.50 will be specialized to one of the available scientific departments at the same headquarters (Wadi Al-Dawasir").
