Within the framework of its social responsibility and its keenness to promote the spirit of volunteering and giving, the Deanship of Admission and Registration, represented by the foundation Year Unit, and in cooperation with the Prince Sultan Military Medical City, organized the 8th blood donation campaign under the slogan “A Drop of Blood Saves a Life.” The campaign was held at the Preparatory Year headquarters for a duration of one week starting from October 26, 2025 AD.
The campaign was inaugurated by the Vice Dean of Admission and Registration for Technical and Academic Affairs, Dr. Abdullah Al-Shehri, who expressed in his speech his pride in the university’s community service initiatives. He emphasized that blood donation is one of the highest forms of humanitarian giving due to its direct impact on saving the lives of patients and the injured, noting that the Deanship constantly seeks to support such initiatives that reflect the values of solidarity and national responsibility.
The campaign aims to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation, contribute to saving lives, support hospital blood banks, and instill the values of cooperation and social responsibility among university staff and students.
The campaign witnessed a wide turnout from faculty members, staff, and students, with an atmosphere of humanitarian cooperation and positive initiative prevailing, reaching a total of 162 donors. This took place under full medical supervision by the team from Prince Sultan Military Medical City to ensure the safety of the donors and the application of the highest health quality standards.
At the conclusion of the campaign, Dr. Abdullah extended his thanks and appreciation to the team from Prince Sultan Military Medical City for their cooperation and outstanding medical efforts. He also valued the interaction of the university staff and students with the campaign, which reflects a high level of awareness regarding the importance of blood donation and contributing to community service.
The Deanship of Admission and Registration confirmed that this initiative comes as part of a series of community and humanitarian activities implemented by the Deanship, based on its mission to support volunteer work and strengthen partnerships with various community institutions to serve the nation and its citizens.
